Egg-static!!!

Braycen is loving dinosaurs right now! He loves to watch dinosaur shows, read dinosaur books, talk about dinosaurs, play with his many dinosaurs, pretend to be a dinosaur. Oh ya! This boy is really into them right now! The other day we went to the local Nature Center for an afternoon.. Before we left Brayce asked if we could go in the gift shop, so we stopped in & looked around at everything. Low & behold, we stumble upon *drum roll* please... DINOSAUR EGGS..that really hatched! Okay, so I might have been a little bit more excited about seeing this thing in action than he was, but he was excited none the less! So we picked out an egg & headed home! Brayce was excited the whole way home, asked if he could hold it & eventually ripped it out of its box. He told me he didn't want to put it in the water, he would just hold it. So when Branson and I finally got him talked into it we got some water & let Brayce stick the egg into the water!
Let the waiting game begin....
It said it would take up to 24 hours for the egg to fully hatch the dinosaur, and if you know a three year old then you know time is nothing to them. ha! Sooo.. this is what Braycen did a majority of the rest of the day...
and... I'm pretty sure that something about that egg was the last thing to come out of his mouth that night.. and it was the very first thing that next morning.. "Mommy, Mommy, Mommy..we need to go see if my egg hatched!!!" So we did... The little dinosaurs head was poking out & I have never seen him so excited! He was running around like a crazy person! We still had to wait for him to actually come out, so I told him while he was in town with his Uncle Jason he would for sure probably be out by the time he made it back home.. 2 1/2 hours later.. Bray comes bustin' through the door ready to check his egg, and ....

WE HAVE A DINOSAUR!!!
He was ecstatic!! He couldn't wait to get that thing out.. He even named him, long neck. He has been added to the rest of the dinosaur collection and he has played with him since.

I thought this was such a fun thing for Braycen to experience, and I enjoyed it with him!
